I was recently reminded of one of my first original recipes. It’s a tasty mix of gin, kombucha, soda and bitters. I was drawn to this idea because both kombucha and bitters are really good for your stomach (and gin is just delicious).
I personally think this would make a killer brunch cocktail. For this on, I used the homemade kombucha that me and @victoria.makes make, but you can use any store bought type. You could even experiment with flavoured kombuchas and different types of bitters to see how that changes the drink. Let me know what you think!
Here’s how to make a Love Potion at home.
- 45 ml gin
- 75 ml kombucha (here’s Victoria’s kombucha recipe!)
- Soda to top
- 3 dashes of Angostura bitters
- Dehydrated orange wheel to garnish
Fill a rocks glass with ice. Add the gin and kombucha and top with soda. Dash the bitters over the surface of the drink and garnish with a dehydrated orange wheel.
