This thing of beauty was my main contribution to Christmas this year. Summery and super refreshing, served in hollowed out watermelons ๐Ÿ˜ This is a great option for your New Year’s day celebrations too! ๐Ÿ‰๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿธ

Here’s how to make a Jerry Christmas at home.

Ingredients

  • 1x 750 ml bottle @sailorjerry (or your favourite spiced rum)
  • 1 L fresh watermelon juice
  • 1 L coconut water
  • Juice from 6 lemons
  • 650 ml grapefruit juice
  • 200 ml sugar syrup (2:1)
  • 6 tsp salt

Method

Hollow out 2 medium watermelons or one massive one. Get all the juice out of the pulp and set aside. Mix all ingredients together in a big container or a couple of large jugs. Give it a stir or a shake to combine then pour the mixture into your hollowed out watermelons and float a few slices of lemon on the surface. Serve with a bucket of ice for your guests to fill the glasses with.

This recipe makes 4 litres but you can easily scale this down depending on how many guests you have.
