Here’s a little original recipe that I made up a while ago. This is a riff on the classic daiquiri which replaces white rum with spiced rum and uses honey as a sweetener as apposed to plain sugar syrup. Enjoy!

Here’s how to make a West Auckland Daiquiri at home.


  • 60 ml @thisisstolen smoked rum
  • 30 ml lime juice
  • 15 ml honey syrup (2 parts honey, 1 part water)
  • Lime twist to garnish


Shake all ingredients together over ice. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lime twist.
