Thought I’d hop on this dalgona trend and see how it works in a cocktail. It’s pretty intense in this one in terms of the coffee flavour, but I enjoyed it by drinking the cocktail underneath first and then moving onto the dalgona after.
Will be a great start of the night drink once we’re all out of isolation!
Here’s how to make a Dalgona Jalisco Espresso at home.
Ingredients
Dalgona coffee topping
- 2 tbsp instant coffee
- 2 tbsp white sugar
- 2 tbsp hot water
Jalisco Espresso
- 60 ml tequila reposado
- 30 ml espresso or cold brew concentrate
- 30 ml coffee liqueur
Method
To make the dalgona, whisk the three ingredients together or add them to a blender until it thickens up and peaks. For the cocktail, add all the ingredients to a shaker, add ice and shake. Strain into a coupe glass. Top with the dalgona and garnish with three coffee beans.
